IIFL Automation
IIFL automation is custom software that trades your own IIFL account through the broker’s official API, using rules you set. IIFL is not one of the ten brokers in our ready-made Indian copiers. So this is custom development only, and we first check what the API allows for your account.
The software runs on your own PC or VPS, under your own credentials. We build the tool, and you operate it. AlgoDevelop is a software developer, not a SEBI-registered intermediary. So we give no signals or advice, and we never manage your funds.

What IIFL automation means
The software holds an API session to your own account and watches what you tell it to watch. Then it places the order once your condition holds. The order lands in your normal IIFL order book, and your money stays with the broker.
The trigger can be a Telegram call, a WhatsApp message, a TradingView alert or a rule inside the software. Either way, your limits run before any order goes out.

What the IIFL Markets API offers
IIFL Capital, the broker behind the IIFL Markets app, publishes its trading API on a developer portal. Its docs also say it serves retail traders and fintech platforms. Together, they cover these calls:
- Place, modify and cancel orders, with an order book and a trade book.
- Positions, holdings, limits and pre-order margin.
- Live quotes, market depth and historical candles.
- Instrument files for each exchange and segment, open to anyone.
In fact, access is simple on paper. According to IIFL’s FAQ, clients log in to the portal with their trading account details and create an app. The same FAQ says the APIs are free for individual traders. Still, we check the current terms for your account before we quote.
The daily IIFL login
However, an IIFL session does not last. Each trading day, you sign in with your password and an OTP or TOTP. IIFL then hands back a code, and the software turns it into a session token with your app secret.
That token stays valid only until midnight, so the login is a daily step. A custom build keeps it short and tells you plainly when a session has expired.

IIFL rules worth knowing
IIFL’s docs also set a few limits, and they shape any IIFL automation:
- Four order types: limit, market, SL and SL-M, as well as a market protection setting.
- Ten orders a second for algos that are not registered with the exchange.
- No product switch: you cannot convert intraday to delivery through the API, so you do it in the app instead.
- Live data needs a bridge: the market data stream runs through IIFL’s own bridge package.
Why it is custom work, not a ready-made copier
Our two ready-made Indian copiers work with ten brokers, and IIFL is not one of them. So IIFL automation means a custom build against the broker’s own API, for your account.
Do you also hold an account at Zerodha, Angel One, Groww, ICICI Direct or another supported broker? Then a ready-made tool can trade it today. See the Telegram to Indian broker copier and the TradingView to Indian broker copier, or browse every Indian broker we automate.
What we build for IIFL
A custom build follows your requirement, not a template. Here is what it can include:
- A custom IIFL API integration, built to your spec.
- Your own rules, with the logic you define.
- Order handling for equity and F&O, where the API allows it for your account.
- Risk limits, position sizing and square-off rules you set.
- Signals from Telegram, WhatsApp or TradingView, or logic inside the software.
- The full source and documentation, so you own what you paid for.
Every build also carries the limits you choose. These include a daily order cap, a size ceiling and a cap on open positions. A trading window, a square-off time and a kill switch complete the set.

What we check before quoting
We never guess at an API. Before we quote IIFL automation, we confirm these points with you and against IIFL’s current docs:
- Whether your account has API access and an app.
- Which segments and products your account can trade.
- How your daily login will work in practice.
- How you register your static IP with the broker.
- Rate limits, and any charges the broker sets.
If something you need is missing, we say so plainly before you pay anything. For a bridge to a broker API in general, see broker API bridge development.

The static IP rule for IIFL automation
SEBI’s framework for retail algo trading has applied since 1 April 2026. Under it, a broker accepts API orders only from a static IP you have registered. So the software has to run where that address lives, which usually means a Windows VPS with a fixed IP.
The broker decides how you register that address. So we confirm the steps with you, before anything goes live.
How IIFL automation gets built
- Share your requirements. Send your strategy, your broker and your goals over WhatsApp or through the contact page.
- Check and quote. We check the API for your case, then reply with a fixed quote, usually within a few hours.
- Build and test. Next, we test it on demo or backtest and share progress as we go.
- You review it before anything goes live.
- Delivery and support. You get the finished tool with a setup walkthrough, and we help with any adjustments after delivery.

Where you stand
Trading your own IIFL account, with your own API access and rules, is you trading your own money. We do not run the software for you, we give no trading calls, and we promise no result. Trading carries a real risk of loss, and past results never guarantee future ones.
Running it for other people is a different matter, since India regulates that. You remain responsible for any registration or approval your use needs under SEBI and exchange rules. If you are unsure, take qualified advice first, or read is copy trading legal in India.
IIFL automation – frequently asked questions
Is IIFL in the ready-made copiers?
No. The ready-made Indian copiers work with ten other brokers. IIFL automation is custom work, built against the broker’s own API.
Does IIFL offer a trading API to retail clients?
Yes. IIFL Capital’s developer portal says its APIs serve retail traders and fintech platforms, with calls for orders, positions, holdings and market data. We check the current terms for your account before we quote.
Do I need IIFL API access?
Yes. You use your own API app and credentials. We build and hand over the software, and then you run it.
Do I have to log in every day?
Yes. IIFL’s docs say you must log in again each trading day, since the session token lasts only until midnight.
Why does IIFL automation need a static IP?
Since 1 April 2026, SEBI’s framework lets a broker accept API orders only from a static IP you have registered. So the software must run on a VPS or PC with a fixed address.
Do you provide signals or run it for me?
No. AlgoDevelop only develops the software to your specification. We give no trading signals or advice, and we do not operate your account; you do.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. You receive the full source and documentation, and it runs entirely on your own account and computer.
What about SEBI compliance?
You operate your own account through the broker’s official API. We provide software only, so you are responsible for your own compliance with SEBI and exchange rules. If you are unsure, consult a qualified professional.
How much does IIFL automation cost?
It depends on your strategy and on what the API allows. Tell us both and we will reply with a fixed quote: ask for a quote.
