What a Discord to MT4/MT5 copier actually does
A Discord to MT4/MT5 copier watches the servers you are already in. Then it turns every call into a real order on your own MetaTrader account. You stay in the server, but you stop being the one who has to be awake, at the screen and quick enough to type it in.
Our copier reads a message the way a person reads it. Take Gold buy 2340-2338, SL 2330, TP 2350 2360 2370 as an example. It becomes an entry zone, a stop loss and three targets on XAUUSD, sized by your own rule. The same call also works with emojis, when a bot posts it, or when it sits inside a Discord embed.

How the Discord to MT4/MT5 copier works, step by step
- You sign in once. Scan a QR code with the Discord app on your phone, use your email and password, or paste a bot token.
- You pick the channels. The app lists your servers and the text channels inside them. Flip a switch on a single channel, or on a whole server at once.
- A new message arrives. Discord pushes it to the app the instant someone posts it, so nothing waits on a polling timer. Switching a channel on does not replay its history, either.
- The app reads the message. It pulls out the instrument, direction, entries, stop loss and up to six targets, whatever the order or language.
- Your rules decide. Lot size, spread limit, daily loss cap, allowed symbols and trading hours all live in the EA. So when a signal breaks one of them, the EA refuses it and writes down why.
- MetaTrader places the order at market or as a pending order, with the stop loss and targets attached. After that, it keeps managing the trade.
Servers, channels and bots
Discord is not one stream of messages, and a Discord to MT4/MT5 copier has to understand that. Most signal servers keep their calls apart from their chat, and many post through a bot rather than a person.
- Per-channel control. Copy #signals and ignore #general. A server switch takes every channel inside it, and it shows half-lit when only some of them are on.
- Bot and webhook posts. A call that a bot or a webhook posts reads exactly like one a person typed.
- Embeds. Plenty of signal bots wrap the call in a coloured embed, with the entry in one field and the targets in another. The copier folds the title, the description and every field into the text it reads.
- Replies. When a follow-up arrives as a reply to the original call, the copier matches it to that trade, not to the most recent one.
- Direct messages. With a personal account, your DMs and group DMs appear under their own heading, so you can copy those too.
- Several servers at once. Two servers calling the same pair do not get in each other’s way.
When you switch a channel on, the app also reads its last few posts in the background. It learns their layouts, but it never trades them. As a result, the first live call in that channel is often one the copier already knows.
Lot sizing and risk on every copied signal
The server decides the direction. You decide the size. The Discord to MT4/MT5 copier applies your rule to every signal it takes, and the EA offers five rules:
- Fixed lot – every trade the same size.
- Percent of balance – the lot grows as the account grows.
- Risk percent – worked back from the stop loss, so the loss at the stop stays the same share of your balance.
- Risk amount – the same idea in money, for example $100 a trade whatever the stop distance.
- Per symbol – one size for gold, another for EURUSD, another for indices.
On top of that sit the limits. You can cap open trades, trades per day, week or month, and daily or overall losses and profits. Once you hit one, the EA stops opening new trades. However, it never closes a position you already hold. Every limit stays off until you switch it on, and the log records each refusal with its reason.
Keep one more thing in mind. The EA opens one order per target you allow, so three targets on a 0.10 lot puts 0.30 lots in the market. If you want one position per signal, keep TP1 and switch the others off.
What happens after the entry
A basic Discord to MT4/MT5 copier stops once the order is open. Yet that is the half where traders actually lose money.
Break-even after a target. With break-even after TP1 on, the stops on the other positions move to entry as soon as price reaches TP1. From then on, the worst case for that signal is a small win.
Trailing stop. Start it after a set number of points in profit, and then it follows price without ever backing off.
Follow-up messages. Servers keep talking after the entry. “Close now”, “book half” and “move SL to entry” all count, and so do the same words in Italian, Russian, Spanish and more. Whether the EA acts on break-even and partial-close messages is one switch, so you stay in charge.
And it says when it does nothing. Some messages are not trades. Sometimes your own limits block a signal, or a broker refuses an order. Each of these lands in the log with the reason, because silence is the one thing a copier must never do.
Signals in any language, any format
Signal servers are rarely tidy. People write the same call a dozen ways, and the good servers are not always in English. So the Discord to MT4/MT5 copier reads all of these:
- Any layout – stop loss above the entry or below it, targets on one line or six, a price range or a single number.
- Any language – English, Hindi, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish, Arabic, Indonesian and more, even mixed in one message.
- Emojis and decoration – 🔴 SELL 🔴, ⬆️ BUY or boxes drawn out of dashes. The app strips the emojis before it reads the words.
- Sloppy typing – double spaces, a stray dash, or a colon that comes and goes.
- Nicknames – GOLD, SILVER, DOW, NASDAQ and BITCOIN become XAUUSD, XAGUSD, US30, NAS100 and BTCUSD. Then the EA adds your broker’s prefix or suffix.
- Pips instead of prices – “TP 100 pips” or “SL 300 points” turns into a real level, measured from the entry.
The AI reads a new layout the first time it sees it. After that, the app remembers the layout for that channel. So the next call in the same shape takes microseconds to read, with no API call. Results posts such as “TP hit” are a different matter, because a skip list on the Keywords page throws them away before the AI sees them.

Setting up the Discord to MT4/MT5 copier
The Discord to MT4/MT5 copier comes in two pieces, both on your own PC or VPS. The app reads Discord, while an Expert Advisor on one MetaTrader chart places the orders.
First, install the app and sign in to Discord. The quickest way is the QR code: open Discord on your phone, tap your avatar, choose Scan QR Code and confirm. Email or phone with a password works too, and so does a token.
- Switch on the servers and channels you want copied.
- Open the Install EA page. It finds every MT4 and MT5 terminal on the PC and copies the EA into the ones you pick.
- Drag the EA onto one chart and turn algo trading on. Any chart will do, because the EA trades every symbol the signals name.
- Set your lot size and limits, and match the symbol suffix your broker uses.
- Run it on a demo account for a day, then read the log.

Can it copy signals from a private Discord server?
Yes. Public or private, any server you belong to works. If your own Discord account can read the channel, the Discord to MT4/MT5 copier can too.
Does it work with signals posted by a bot?
Yes. A call that a bot or a webhook posts, or one wrapped in an embed, reads exactly like one a person typed.
Will my Discord account get banned?
Be careful here. Discord’s terms do not allow automating a personal account, and Discord can disable accounts that do it. A bot token in a server you control is the supported way, so use one wherever you can. Either way, the copier only reads: it never posts, joins servers or messages anyone.
Can it copy calls from direct messages?
Yes, when you sign in with a personal account. Your DMs and group DMs then appear on the Channels page under their own heading. A bot token has no DMs to read, though.
Does it work on both MT4 and MT5?
Yes. The Discord to MT4/MT5 copier runs on both, with the same settings and the same behaviour. You can also run MT4 and MT5 side by side on one PC, on different accounts.
Do I need a VPS?
Only if you want copying to go on while your own computer is off. The app and MetaTrader both have to be running, so traders who follow a server overnight usually put both on a VPS.
Is my broker account safe?
Everything runs on your machine, in your terminal, with your broker. We never hold your login. In addition, the app encrypts and signs the files it leaves for the EA. So nothing else on the PC can feed it a fake signal.
What if a signal has no stop loss?
Your choice. By default the EA gives it a stop 100 pips from the entry. You can change that distance, or set it to 0 and refuse such signals outright.
What happens when someone edits a signal?
An edit to a message the copier has already read does not open a second trade. To change a trade, the server posts a follow-up such as “move SL to entry” or “close now”, and the copier acts on that.
How fast is it?
Discord pushes each message to the app as soon as someone posts it. Then a layout the copier already knows takes well under a millisecond to read, while a brand-new one goes to the AI once and takes a second or two.
How many servers can I copy at once?
As many as you are in. They share one set of EA settings, and the app keeps the order of messages inside each channel.
