HDFC Securities Automation

HDFC Securities automation is custom software that trades your own HDFC Securities account through the broker’s official API, using rules you set. HDFC Securities is not one of the ten brokers in our ready-made Indian copiers. So this is custom development only, and we first check what API access your account has.

The software runs on your own PC or VPS, under your own credentials. We build the tool, and you operate it. AlgoDevelop is a software developer, not a SEBI-registered intermediary. So we give no signals or advice, and we never manage your funds.

What HDFC Securities automation means

The software holds an API session to your own account and watches what you tell it to watch. Then it places the order once your condition holds. The order lands in your normal HDFC Securities order book, and your money stays with the broker.

The trigger can be a Telegram call, a WhatsApp message, a TradingView alert or a rule inside the software. Either way, your limits run before any order goes out.

A requirement is often one plain sentence. For example: enter only in the first hour, stop for the day after three losses, or square off by 3:15.

HDFC Securities automation: a signal or your own rule passes your limits and becomes an order through the broker's API
How it works: a signal or rule fires, your limits check it, and the order goes to HDFC Securities from your own computer.

What the HDFC Securities API offers

HDFC Securities announced an individual API for InvestRight clients in July 2024. It gives individual clients electronic order placement through a developer portal. The announcement lists these calls:

To get access, you log in to the developer portal with your InvestRight details and an OTP. Next, you accept the derivatives risk disclosure. Then you create an app with a name and a redirect URL, and you can hold up to ten apps.

However, the announcement does not list fees or segments. So we check those against the current docs before we quote, rather than guess.

Why it is custom work, not a ready-made copier

Our two ready-made Indian copiers work with ten brokers, and HDFC Securities is not one of them. So HDFC Securities automation means a custom build against the broker’s own API, for your account.

Do you also hold an account at Zerodha, Angel One, Groww, ICICI Direct or another supported broker? Then a ready-made tool can trade it today. See the Telegram to Indian broker copier and the TradingView to Indian broker copier, or browse every Indian broker we automate.

What we build for HDFC Securities

A custom build follows your requirement, not a template. Here is what it can include:

Every build also carries the limits you choose. These include a daily order cap, a size ceiling and a cap on open positions. A trading window, a square-off time and a kill switch complete the set, and each refusal goes into a log with its reason.

What we check before quoting

We never guess at an API. Before we quote HDFC Securities automation, we confirm these points with you and against the broker’s current docs:

If something you need is missing, we say so plainly before you pay anything. For a bridge to a broker API in general, see broker API bridge development.

The static IP rule for HDFC Securities automation

SEBI’s framework for retail algo trading has applied since 1 April 2026. Under it, a broker accepts API orders only from a static IP you have registered. So the software has to run where that address lives, which usually means a Windows VPS with a fixed IP.

The broker decides how you register that address. So we confirm the steps with you, before anything goes live.

How HDFC Securities automation gets built

  1. Share your requirements. Send your strategy, your broker and your goals over WhatsApp or through the contact page.
  2. Check and quote. We check the API for your case, then reply with a fixed quote, usually within a few hours.
  3. Build and test. Next, we test it on demo or backtest and share progress as we go.
  4. You review it before anything goes live.
  5. Delivery and support. You get the finished tool with a setup walkthrough, and we help with any adjustments after delivery.

Where you stand

Trading your own HDFC Securities account, with your own API access and rules, is you trading your own money. We do not run the software for you, we give no trading calls, and we promise no result. Trading carries a real risk of loss, and past results never guarantee future ones.

Running it for other people is a different matter, since India regulates that. You remain responsible for any registration or approval your use needs under SEBI and exchange rules. If you are unsure, take qualified advice first, or read is copy trading legal in India.

HDFC Securities automation – frequently asked questions

Is HDFC Securities in the ready-made copiers?

Do I need HDFC Securities API access?

Yes. You use your own API access and credentials. We build and hand over the software, and then you run it.
