Kotak Neo Automation
Kotak Neo automation is software that places orders in your own Kotak Neo account through the Neo Trade API, Kotak Securities’ official API. The orders follow rules or signals that you choose. You can run one of our ready-made Indian copiers, or have us build a tool to your own specification.
Either way, it runs on your own PC or VPS, under your own Neo API login. We build the tool, and you operate it. AlgoDevelop is a software developer, not a SEBI-registered intermediary. So we give no signals or advice, and we never manage your funds.

What Kotak Neo automation actually does
Kotak Securities offers the Neo Trade API to its own clients. Its Neo Trade API guide explains how a program can place, modify and cancel orders and read market data. Kotak Neo automation is the program on the other end.
It watches what you tell it to watch, then it places the order once your condition holds. The order appears in your normal Kotak Neo order book. Meanwhile, your money stays with Kotak.

Kotak Neo automation with the ready-made copiers
Kotak Neo is one of the ten brokers in both of our ready-made Indian copiers. The Telegram to Indian broker copier reads the calls in your Telegram channels. In addition, the TradingView to Indian broker copier takes webhook alerts from your own charts. Both place the order at Kotak Neo for you.
They trade options and stocks, while a futures signal gets a refusal with its reason. Intraday orders go as MIS. Delivery goes as CNC for shares and NRML for options. Stops can go to Kotak as real SL or SL-M orders once the entry fills.

Five Neo API details the copier handles
The Neo API has a few traps that quietly break a careless integration. So the copier deals with each one:
- A fresh scrip master. Kotak publishes its contract files by day and segment. Before today’s file appears, or on a holiday, the app falls back to the latest earlier file instead of failing.
- Prices in paise. The scrip master lists strikes and ticks in paise. So the app divides by 100, and a strike of 27400 stays 27400.
- Dates that start in 1980. Kotak counts expiry dates from 1980, not 1970. Read the usual way, every contract would look ten years expired, so the app corrects for it.
- Kotak’s own symbols only. Each broker writes an option differently. So the app sends only the trading symbol it found in Kotak’s file, such as RELIANCE-EQ for the share.
- A real answer check. Kotak can return a normal reply code even when it refuses an order. So the app reads the reply itself before it treats an order as placed.
When the app cannot find a contract, its refusal also says if part of the scrip master failed to load. That way, you do not spend a morning doubting an alert that was right.
The daily Kotak Neo login
Kotak’s guide sets out the access steps. You create an application in the API Dashboard, set up TOTP with an authenticator app, and confirm with your MPIN. The login then returns a trading token and a session id.
Both last one trading day, so you paste a fresh pair on the Accounts page each morning. Test the connection then shows the funds available in the account. If Kotak refuses the token or the session id, it says so in plain words.
The static IP rule for Kotak Neo automation
SEBI’s framework for retail algo trading has applied since 1 April 2026. Under it, an Indian broker accepts API orders only from a static IP you have registered with it. That includes Kotak Neo.
So Kotak Neo automation has to run where that address lives, which usually means a Windows VPS with a fixed IP. The Dashboard shows the address your broker sees, with a Copy button. If it ever changes, the app warns you before Kotak starts refusing orders.

Kotak Neo automation built to your requirement
Some traders need more than a copier. For example, they want their own strategy, their own exits, or a source the copiers do not read. In that case, we write it against the Neo Trade API, to your specification:
- Your own entry and exit rules, written as code.
- Order handling you configure, for equity and F&O.
- Risk limits, position sizing and square-off rules you set.
- Signals from Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord or TradingView, or logic inside the software.
- Your own Neo API login, so you stay in control.
- The full source and documentation, so you own what you paid for.
Tell us the requirement first. We will say plainly whether the Neo API can do it before you commit, not after. For one strategy across several brokers, see Indian stock market automation.

Setting up Kotak Neo automation, step by step
- Create an application in Kotak’s API Dashboard and set up TOTP.
- Choose where it runs: a Windows VPS or PC with a static IP. Then register that IP with Kotak.
- Add the account on the Accounts page, paste the day’s token and session id, and press Test the connection.
- Start in Paper mode. The app reads Kotak’s contracts and live prices, but it fills each order in its own book.
- Run one full session and read the Signal Feed, which lists every signal, order and refusal.
- Go live small, with a low daily cap and a small share. Scale up only after a full day goes as you expected.

A custom build follows the same idea. You share your strategy over WhatsApp or the contact page. We reply with a fixed quote, usually within a few hours. Then we build it, test it on demo or backtest, and share progress. You review it before anything goes live. Finally, delivery comes with a setup walkthrough and help with later changes.
Where you stand
Trading your own Kotak Neo account, with your own login and rules, is you trading your own money. We do not run the software for you, we give no trading calls, and we promise no result. Trading carries a real risk of loss, and past results never guarantee future ones.
Running it for other people is a different matter, since India regulates that. You remain responsible for any registration or approval your use needs under SEBI and exchange rules. If you are unsure, take qualified advice first, or read is copy trading legal in India.
Other brokers and the next step
Also trading elsewhere? The same work covers Zerodha, Angel One and Upstox, and you can browse every Indian broker we automate. Then ask for a quote, and we will say plainly what fits.
Kotak Neo automation – frequently asked questions
Is Kotak Neo in the ready-made copiers?
Yes. Kotak Neo is one of the ten brokers in both the Telegram and the TradingView Indian copiers. They connect through the Neo Trade API.
Do I need Neo Trade API access?
Yes. You create your own application in Kotak’s API Dashboard and log in with your own TOTP and MPIN. Any charge for that access is between you and Kotak, not us.
Do I have to log in every morning?
Yes. The trading token and the session id both last one trading day. So you paste a fresh pair on the Accounts page each morning.
Why does Kotak Neo automation need a static IP?
Since 1 April 2026, SEBI’s framework lets a broker accept API orders only from a static IP you have registered. So the app must run on a VPS or PC whose fixed address Kotak knows.
Can it trade options like BANKNIFTY 52000 CE?
Yes. The app finds the strike, expiry and lot size in Kotak’s own scrip master, and it sends Kotak’s own trading symbol. So nothing rests on a guess.
Can I test it without real orders?
Yes. Paper mode reads Kotak’s contracts and live prices, but it fills every order in the app’s own book. That way, you can watch a full session before real money moves.
Do you provide signals or run it for me?
No. We build the software, and you run it on your own account. We are not a SEBI-registered intermediary, adviser or research analyst.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. A custom build comes with its full source and documentation, and it runs on your own account and computer. There is nothing of ours it has to reach in order to work.
What about SEBI compliance?
You operate your own account through Kotak’s official API. We provide software only, so you are responsible for your own compliance with SEBI and exchange rules. If you are unsure, consult a qualified professional.
How much does Kotak Neo automation cost?
It depends on the route: a ready-made copier with setup help, or a custom build. Tell us your strategy and we will reply with a fixed quote: ask for a quote.
