5paisa Automation

5paisa automation runs your own rules on your own 5paisa account, through 5paisa’s Xstream API. We build it to your requirement, and Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, TradingView or logic inside the software can drive it.

You own it, you configure it, and you run it under your own API credentials, so we build the tool and you operate it. AlgoDevelop is a software developer, not a SEBI-registered intermediary. We give no signals or advice, we place no trades for you, and we never manage your funds.

What 5paisa automation actually means

5paisa automation is software that holds a session to your own account and places orders when your rules fire. The orders appear in your normal 5paisa order book, while your funds and your login stay with you.

It talks to 5paisa through Xstream, the broker’s own API, which 5paisa describes as free. The Xstream API documentation covers orders, positions, the market feed, historical candles and live order updates. So there is plenty to build on, with no monthly API bill.

5paisa automation: a signal or TradingView alert passes your rules and becomes an Xstream API order in your own 5paisa account
The whole path. A signal or alert arrives, your rules and limits check it, and only then does an order go through Xstream into your own 5paisa order book.

Ready-made 5paisa automation: the two Indian copiers

Not every job needs custom code. Two of our ready-made apps already trade 5paisa, along with nine other Indian brokers. The Telegram to Indian broker copier turns the calls in your channels into orders. The TradingView to Indian broker copier does the same for your TradingView alerts.

Xstream is unlike most broker APIs, so both apps handle these 5paisa quirks for you:

They trade options and NSE cash equity. Futures and MCX are outside them, so those need a custom build.

What we build for 5paisa

When the copiers do not fit, we write 5paisa automation around your own rules instead. That can mean:

Where the signals come from

5paisa automation carries out the decision wherever it starts:

Several can run at once, each with its own size and limits.

The access token that ends at 11:59 PM

An Xstream access token lasts one day, and 5paisa ends it at 11:59 PM. So 5paisa automation needs a fresh token every trading morning.

The token comes from a login with your client code, your PIN and a one-time code. After the login, 5paisa returns a request token, and the software swaps it for the day’s access token. 5paisa’s documentation describes a web login and a TOTP login for this step.

In the ready-made copiers, you enter three things on the account: the app key, which 5paisa calls the user key, your client code and the day’s access token. Test the connection then confirms 5paisa accepts them. Later, a dead token shows up as a plain message rather than a quiet failure.

Your static IP, SEBI’s rules and the Algo ID

SEBI’s framework for retail algo trading has applied since 1 April 2026. Under it, 5paisa takes API orders only from a static IP that you have registered with it. So a home connection whose address keeps changing will not do, but a VPS with a fixed IP will.

Market orders need care at 5paisa. Xstream has no market-protection field, so the copiers’ protective-limit switch is what stands between a signal and a naked market order. That switch is on by default.

5paisa’s own documentation adds one more step. Traders who run algorithmic strategies register as algo users, and 5paisa support then issues an Algo ID for their API requests. We check where your setup stands on this before we quote.

Options, scrip codes and the expiry

5paisa names each contract by a scrip code, plus its exchange and segment letters. An instruction like “NIFTY 24600 CE” therefore means nothing until the software finds the right code for that strike and expiry. Those codes change at every expiry, so anything hard-coded works for a week and then stops.

That is why the copiers download 5paisa’s scrip master and reload it every six hours. With no expiry named, they take the nearest one that has not passed. If 5paisa ever changes the file’s format, the app stops and says so rather than guess.

Limits and square-off

Both ready-made copiers carry these limits for each 5paisa account:

5paisa marks each order as intraday or delivery with a single flag. The app sets that flag from your product choice, so a position you meant to carry does not go out as intraday. Then set your own square-off time, and the app squares off what is still open before 5paisa’s own square-off. If you carry positions overnight, leave the time blank.

You operate your own account through the broker’s official API. That is you trading your own money with software you commissioned.

AlgoDevelop provides software only. We are not a SEBI-registered intermediary, adviser or research analyst, and we are not your broker or fund manager. We give no calls, we do not run the software for you, and we promise no outcome. You are responsible for making sure your own use follows SEBI and exchange rules. If you are unsure, ask a qualified professional, and read whether copy trading is legal in India.

How a custom build works

  1. Share your requirements. Send your strategy, your broker and your goals on WhatsApp. We scope it and reply with a fixed quote.
  2. Development and testing. We build the software, test it on demo or backtest data and share progress. You review it before anything goes live.
  3. Delivery and support. You get the finished tool with a setup walkthrough, plus support afterwards for any changes.

Before real money moves, run a session with trading switched off, or use Paper mode in a ready-made copier. Trading elsewhere too? See Zerodha, Angel One, Dhan or every broker we automate. When you are ready, ask for a quote.

5paisa automation – frequently asked questions

Is there a ready-made 5paisa bot?

There are two. The Telegram to Indian broker copier and the TradingView to Indian broker copier both trade 5paisa through Xstream. For anything else, we write 5paisa automation to your requirement.

Do I need 5paisa API access?

You do. You use your own Xstream API keys and credentials, and 5paisa describes its developer APIs as free. We build and hand over the software, and then you run it.

Do I have to log in every morning?

Once a day, yes. 5paisa ends each access token at 11:59 PM, so you make a new one each morning and paste it on the account.

Why will it not send a plain market order?

Xstream has no market order type, and a price of 0 is what makes one. So the copiers send protective limit orders by default and refuse anything that would become a market order by accident.

Why does 5paisa need my static IP?

Since 1 April 2026, SEBI’s retail algo rules let 5paisa accept API orders only from a static IP you have registered. The app shows the address 5paisa sees, with a Copy button.

Can it trade options like BANKNIFTY 52000 CE?

It can. The software finds the right scrip code for the strike and expiry in 5paisa’s own scrip master, because those codes change at every expiry.

Do you provide signals or run it for me?

No. We only develop the software to your specification. We supply no trading signals or advice, and we do not operate your account, because you do.

Do I own what you build?

Yes. You receive the full source and documentation, and it runs entirely on your own account and your own computer or server.

What about SEBI compliance?

You operate your own account through the broker’s official API, and AlgoDevelop provides software only. So you are responsible for making sure your use follows SEBI and exchange rules. If unsure, ask a qualified professional.
