Deriv Bot Development
Deriv bot development builds bots that trade your Deriv account through Deriv’s own API. It can trade synthetic indices that never close, or forex, at whatever stake and contract type your strategy calls for.
Bring a finished strategy or only a rough idea. Either way, we build exactly what you describe. You get it tested and documented, and you own it outright.

What Deriv bot development covers
Deriv publishes a full Deriv API for developers. That makes Deriv bot development one of the simpler automation jobs a retail trader can ask for. We write against that API directly. First your strategy decides, then the bot buys the contract, and finally everything goes into the log.
The result runs on your own account with your own API token. Nothing passes through us, and the token stays on your machine.

Synthetic indices, and why people automate them
Deriv’s synthetic indices are the reason most people come to Deriv bot development rather than to a broker bot.
- They run all the time, weekends included, so a bot has something to do when every other market has closed.
- News does not drive them. There is no central bank, no payroll figure, and no Monday gap caused by something said on Sunday.
- Each index states its behaviour. For example, a volatility index has a stated volatility. Crash and boom indices state an average gap between spikes.
That last point is what makes them appealing to automate. A strategy can follow the stated behaviour rather than a guess. Still, that does not make them easy or less risky. The movement is real money either way.

Contract types beyond rise and fall
Most Deriv bot development requests describe rise/fall bots. Yet quite often, the strategy behind them suits something else. Deriv offers considerably more:
- Rise/Fall and Higher/Lower – the familiar ones.
- Touch/No Touch – for strategies about whether price reaches a level at all.
- In/Out – staying within a range, or leaving it.
- Digits – matches, differs, over and under.
- Multipliers – leveraged, with a stop loss and take profit rather than a fixed expiry. That changes the shape of the risk entirely.
- Accumulators – growth while price stays within a range.
If the strategy you describe fits a different contract better than the one you asked for, we will tell you.

DBot, or a custom bot?
DBot is Deriv’s own visual builder. It is genuinely useful and it costs nothing. If your strategy fits inside its blocks, you may not need us at all. We would rather say that than sell you something you do not need.
Deriv bot development becomes worthwhile once you outgrow DBot. That happens with logic its blocks cannot express, or with several contracts or symbols managed together. It also happens when your own indicator or an outside signal drives entries. Custom recovery rules, or records DBot does not keep, are other common reasons.

The Deriv API and token scopes
Deriv bot development uses a token you create in your own Deriv account. Deriv’s API documentation explains that tokens limit access by scope, and that you can revoke each token on its own. So grant only what trading needs. The bot never needs any right that moves money out of your account.
Deriv’s trading API runs over a WebSocket, so the connection will drop now and then. That is why reconnection and reconciliation are part of every build rather than an afterthought. On reconnect, the bot asks Deriv what is really open instead of trusting its own memory.
Price data needs no token at all, because Deriv also runs a public stream for market data. So a bot can watch ticks before it ever logs in. If you need Deriv linked to another system as well, that is broker API bridge development.
Stake rules and the guards around them
- A fixed stake, or a percent of the balance.
- Recovery rules after a loss, with a hard cap on how far they may go.
- A daily loss limit, plus an optional profit target that ends the session early.
- Maximum open contracts and maximum trades per day.
- Allowed symbols and hours, which matter even on synthetics if your strategy suits a certain period.
Martingale-style recovery on synthetic indices deserves the same warning it gets anywhere else. It survives losing runs until it meets one longer than the ladder. So build it if you want it, but build the cap with it.

The demo account, and using it properly
Deriv offers demo accounts, and the API trades them in the same way as real ones. That makes Deriv bot development unusually easy to prove before you risk anything.
Run the finished bot on demo long enough to see a losing streak, not just a winning one. After all, a good week tells you nothing about what the recovery rules do in a bad one.
What you receive on delivery
- Full source with comments, plus the list of packages it needs.
- A config file for every setting: stake, caps, symbols and hours.
- Setup steps, including running it on a VPS if you want it trading around the clock.
- A plain guide to every setting.
- Support after delivery, plus reasonable adjustments.
How a project runs
- Describe the strategy and the market. Say which index or pair, and what the bot should decide.
- We scope it and quote a fixed price, and we tell you if DBot would do the job.
- Building and a demo run come next.
- You review the results, including a losing stretch, before going live.
- We deliver, document and support it.

Deriv bot development – frequently asked questions
Can you build a bot for synthetic indices?
Yes. Deriv bot development covers volatility indices, crash and boom, step and jump. They run all the time, weekends included, which is the main reason most Deriv bots target them rather than forex.
Should I just use DBot instead?
Possibly, and we would rather say so. DBot is Deriv’s own visual builder, and it costs nothing. If your strategy fits inside its blocks, you may not need us. However, a custom bot earns its cost when the logic outgrows those blocks. That includes several contracts managed together, an outside signal driving entries, or records DBot does not keep.
Which contract types can it trade?
Rise/Fall, Higher/Lower, Touch/No Touch, In/Out, Digits, Multipliers and Accumulators. Multipliers in particular change the shape of the risk. They use a stop loss and take profit rather than a fixed expiry. We will also tell you if your strategy suits a different contract than the one you asked for.
Do you see my API token?
No. Deriv bot development uses a token you create in your own account, and it stays on your machine. Grant only what trading needs, since the bot has no use for any right that moves money.
Can I test it without real money?
Yes, and a demo account makes this easier than almost anywhere else, because the same API trades it. Run the bot long enough to see a losing streak, not only a good week. After all, what the recovery rules do in a bad run is the thing worth knowing.
What happens if the connection drops?
Deriv’s trading API runs over a WebSocket, so it will drop now and then. That is why every Deriv bot development build includes reconnection and reconciliation. On coming back, the bot asks Deriv what is really open rather than trusting its own memory.
Does it support recovery or martingale rules?
Yes, with a hard cap. Recovery after a loss survives losing runs until it meets one longer than the ladder. So we build the cap and a daily loss limit alongside it, not as options.
Can it run when my computer is off?
Yes, on a small VPS. That matters more here than for most markets, since synthetic indices trade at weekends when nothing else does.
Do I get the source code?
Yes. You get the full source with comments and a configuration file for stake, caps, symbols and hours. Setup steps and a plain guide come with it.
How much does Deriv bot development cost?
It depends on the contract types, how many symbols run together, and how much recovery logic it needs. Describe the strategy, and we will quote a fixed price. We will also tell you honestly if DBot would do it. Ask for a quote.
